Make inline pauses more easily

Narakeet now treats ellipsis and three dots as explicit pauses. This can help you make inline pauses more easily, without having to break the flow of text into multiple paragraphs.

To create a roughly half-second break inline in your text, add the Unicode horizontal ellipsis symbol (). You can also use three full stops (...). Here is an example:

My name is Bond… James Bond.

This function is available with all our voices, immediately.

For other ways of creating pauses, including specific timings, check out our guide on How to add pauses to text-to-speech voiceovers.

Narakeet helps you create text to speech voiceovers, turn Powerpoint presentations and Markdown scripts into engaging videos. It is under active development, so things change frequently. Keep up to date: RSS, Slack, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
