10 New Character Voices

We have added 10 new synthetic voices to Narakeet, expanding our robot voice text to speech offering significantly. Each voice has a distinct personality, from chittering alien insects to deep villains and squeaky cartoon sidekicks.

Here is the full list of new voices:

  • Dangerbot – deep, menacing villain voice
  • Retrobot – shimmering harmonics for ethereal characters
  • Hivemind – layered collective voice, like multiple beings speaking in unison
  • Xenobot – deep metallic voice with mechanical resonance

Polyglot Character Voices in 70+ Languages

All new robotic and alien voices are polyglot, meaning they can speak in over 70 languages. This is a significant upgrade from our previous synthetic voices, which were limited to English. Now you can create a robot character speaking Japanese, a cartoon villain monologuing in French, or an alien hivemind narrating in Arabic – all using the same voice with consistent character personality across languages.

You will find the new voices in the regular Voice menu in the text to audio tool, in the “Synthetic” section below “Polyglot”. Alternatively, click the “Show voice types” link below the Voice box, then click the “Synthetic” checkbox, and the Voice drop-down will only show the Synthetic/Robotic voices.

Multi-lingual content

You can also create multi-lingual content, by setting the language directly in the script. To use a Robotic voice in a different language, use the polyglot language syntax in your script:

(voice: xenobot/de-DE)

Ich bin der Xenobot. Widerstand ist zwecklos.

(voice: xenobot/ja-JP)

私はゼノボットです。抵抗は無意味です。

Use Cases

These new voices open up many creative possibilities:

Movies and animations – Give your animated characters distinct robotic or alien voices without hiring voice actors. The polyglot support means you can easily dub character dialogue into dozens of languages while keeping the same voice personality.

Video games – Create NPC dialogue for robots, aliens, villains and sidekick characters. Generate large amounts of voiced dialogue quickly for game prototypes or final production.

Cartoons and children’s content – The squeaky, robotic and alien voices make audio content more engaging for children. Use them for character storytelling, educational content, or audiobook narration with distinct character voices.

Pranks and entertainment – Send robotic voice messages to friends, create funny social media content with alien narration, or add synthetic voice effects to podcasts and videos.

Multilingual content creation – Previously, creating robot or alien character voices in non-English languages required complex audio processing. Now you can generate character voices in any of the 70+ supported languages directly.
